Otyń (German Deutsch-Wartenberg, Wartenberg)

Otyń currently is a village having about 1,300 inhabitants, but in the years 1329 to 1945 had city rights.
Despite a fire in 1702 still retains many historic homes and historic urban layout (from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century.)
In the town are the ruins of the gothic castle (who was also a Jesuit monastery).

Czoch Castle

Czoch Castle was built in the second half of the thirteenth century as a defensive stronghold on the initiative of the Czech King Wacław II.
The castle was rebuilt in Renaissance style in the sixteenth century.
On the night of 17 to 18 August 1793, the castle was burned down, rebuilt it a year later, and in the years 1909-1914.
Today the castle is a Hotel.

Książ Castle (Germ. Fürstenstein) in Wałbrzych

The castle from XIII has been rebuilt several times. In 1941 it was confiscated by the Nazis who probably wanted to create the main quarter for Hitler there. After World War Two till August 1946 the Red Army stationed there.

Moszna (German Schloß Moschen)

The palace was built in the mid-seventeenth century. Partially burned down and was rebuilt.
According to legend Moszna in the Middle Ages belonged to the Knights Templar.
Since 1945, the castle housed the Soviet Army troops that destroyed most of the equipment of the castle and stolen works of art (paintings and sculptures).
During World War II the castle avoided destruction. Since 1945 the castle Soviet Army troops quartered.
