Monument stands at 16.5 m mound. Jesus statue is 33 meters (figure of Jesus) 3-meter gilded crown so it is higher than the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro by 3 meters.
Monument in Swiebodzin is the highest in the world sculpture depicting Jesus.
On February 15th in Żary there was a reconstruction of fights which begun by the Red Army entering Żary on February 13th 1945. The fights ended with the Red Army conquering the town on the 16th (according to other sources 17th) February
The staging was played by: Lubuska Historical Reconstruction Group, Sagan Historical Association from Żagań, Ostrovian Historical Reconstruction Group, reconsructors from Germany and scouts from Żary.
On the weekend of 01-02.03.2014 in Drzonków there was an International Pedigree Dog Show. During those two days one could see 1758 dogs of 196 breeds which came to Drzonków from many countries.
Winter this year was exceptionally mild and little snow fell.
The museum has about 3,000 exhibits from the Middle Ages to modern times.

Lubusz military museum has many unique exhibits such as the Russian self-propelled guns SU -152 1943 and the single-seat jet Polish TS- 11 " Iskra ". The military museum is a " military Skansen " showing the history of fortifications Lubusz Land in the twentieth century.
In the village of Stara Jabłona apart from the historic belfry is a manor and farm, from the mid-nineteenth century, which consists of: mansion, carriage house, barn, apartment building, gatehouse. All these monuments are in poor condition and falling into ever greater disrepair.
In Stara Jabłona there is a brick belfry of the eighteenth century with a wooden ice-apron.
Late baroque palace built in 1783 for the family von Konobelsdorf and rebuilt in 1842.
To the palace complex are outbuildings of the first half of the nineteenth century and classicist outbuilding of 1801.
Around the palace is a beautiful landscaped park founded in the early nineteenth century.
Currently, at the Palace in Henryków hotel is located.
Sight-seeing the surroundings of Szprotawa we visited the Wiechlice Palace (nowadays a hotel). In the lobby we saw photographs of the palace from before the renovation – it was a ruin. I decided to look up at least a small part of its history.
